Status in “openoffice.org” package in Ubuntu:
Won't Fix
Status in “libreoffice” package in Debian:

Bug description:
Binary package hint: openoffice.org
Tables load slowly as well as sort or any action is slow. I note that jre was upgraded recently and that was when the problem began. I fixed the problem by going to java.com and installing jre-6u22-linux-i586.bin in /opt. I then chose that jre in openoffice options and the tables work fine with it. My conclusion is that there is a problem with the jre installed recently:
ii openjdk-6-jre 6b20-1.9.2-0ubuntu1~10.04.1

ii openjdk-6-jre-lib 6b20-1.9.2-0ubuntu1~10.04.1
