[Bug 1053160] Re: NullPointerException when calling java.util.TimeZone.getAvailableIDs()

 

I tried openjdk-6 and has the same problem. I downloaded jrockit and it
behaves. As the following transcript shows

Bug description:
  On quantal beta.

  java.util.TimeZone.getAvailableIDs() is throwing a NullPointerException....
  Caused by: java.lang.NullPointerException
  	at sun.util.calendar.ZoneInfoFile.getZoneIDs(ZoneInfoFile.java:790)
  	at sun.util.calendar.ZoneInfo.getAvailableIDs(ZoneInfo.java:576)
  	at java.util.TimeZone.getAvailableIDs(TimeZone.java:588)
  	at X.<clinit>(X.java:2)

  
  A lot of third party software suffers. This is quite serious.

  Follows the expected behaviour (on precise)
