Title:
IDE freezes when opening project file

Status in OpenJDK:
  Fix Released
Status in “openjdk-7” package in Ubuntu:
  Triaged

Bug description:
Every time I open a sketch through the "Recently Opened" tab, the IDE
freezes and I have to kill it with xkill.

If I go directly to the folder which contains the sketch, that works
  fine.

  I'm using the version 1.0.1+dfsg-7 Ubuntu 12.10 x64
