[Bug 937200] Re: Fat fonts in Swing applications

 

Removing the unfonts-core font package resolved this issue for me. Thank
you, @hanynowsky. Isn't it strange how a seemingly unrelated package can
cause so many problems?

Bug description:
  Since I upgraded to Ubuntu 12.04 I noticed that the fonts in Java
  Swing applications use the bold font weight. This looks really ugly
  and takes up to much space.
