[Bug 968308]

 

To update, I haven't been able to reproduce this yet (using 3.8.2 on
several different Ubuntu versions, closing the initial Welcome screen by
clicking its 'X').  Am continuing to look into this, but will be
difficult to track down if it's not reproducible.

  Opening Eclipse workbench causes SIGSEGV

Bug description:
  Using Ubuntu 12.04 updated kernel 3.3.0-030300-generic x86_64.
  To reproduce:
   - Do fresh install of eclipse
   - open eclipse
   - click on Workbench icon

  The following error occurs:
