Message #10591
Bug#767771: icedtea-7-jre-jamvm: jamvm from 7u71-2.5.3-1 gives relocation errors
Package: icedtea-7-jre-jamvm
Version: 7u71-2.5.3-1
Severity: important
Hi.
I am trying to use any kind of Java Virtual Machine that is not the Zero VM
on PowerPC and, unfortunately, the package jamvm version 7u71-2.5.3-1 has a
serious regression: upon invoking `java -jamvm`, I get the following output:
$ java -jamvm
java: relocation error: /usr/lib/jvm/java-7-openjdk-powerpc/jre/lib/ppc/libjava.so: symbol JVM_FindClassFromCaller, version SUNWprivate_1.1 not defined in file libjvm.so with link time reference
Luckily, a reverting all the packages to version 7u65-2.5.2-4 make things
work again.
Is there any information else that I can provide so that we can have this
fixed for jessie?
Thanks,
Rogério Brito.
