Message #12268
[Bug 1669132] [NEW] openjdk should stop recommending gconf and other deprecated gnome2 stuff
Public bug reported:
gconf has been deprecated for years and is not used in the Unity or
GNOME desktops. Whatever settings openjdk is trying to look up there are
probably invalid.
Also, openjdk is just about the only thing (see also LP: #1667195) pulling several other deprecated libraries into main:
gnome-vfs
libbonobo
libbonoboui
libgnomecanvas
libgnomeui
Since all of these are merely recommends, it doesn't seem like they're
even required.
The other gconf-using packages in main are aisleriot (LP: #1669136) and
emacs (LP: #1669138)
