[Bug 1665736] Re: unstable packages installed without warning
the openjdk-9 packages now have the status of a release candidate in
17.10. No need to remove them.
If packages pull in openjdk-9 by default, then they have wrong
dependencies. You should file bug reports for these packages to get the
dependencies fixed.

Bug description:
The openjdk-9 packages are packages of unstable early-access preview builds of Java 9.
To users that are not aware of release dates for Java it looks like those are stable ready-to-use packages.
Maybe there should be a prominent warning added that has to be dismissed actively on installation and that warns that these packages contain unstable early-access preview builds.
