1. I tested the latest trunk with the Changes from Raoul. He added a new option regarding the exception window.
Here I use python 2.5 and get now this error message:

    raise TypeError, "invalid arguments"
TypeError: invalid arguments
-> After removing the unicode types, it works correct for me.

2. May the name "media_item_string" isnt the best choice, but it gets the translated name, which is used for the MediaManagerItem.

3. Your right. This could be simplified.
