[Bug 682046] Re: OpenLP opens control interface behind presentation window on secondary monitor

I'm actually using GNOME... I'll see if I can find a similar config
option to the one you mention.

Given that OpenLP doesn't know which is the main screen, and which is
the remote, would it perhaps be feasible to enforce a policy of opening
the control interface and presentation window on separate screens when
there's more than one screen configured? I'm guessing that at present,
OpenLP doesn't query X as to how many physical displays there are, and
what their positions are -- this would explain the offset and size
parameters in the config, so implementing this logic might be dependent
on OpenLP interrogating the system a bit more, so that users can
ultimately nominate screen A as the control screen and B as the display
screen.

Status in OpenLP - Worship Presentation Software: New

Bug description:
Note: I'm running Ubuntu 10.10, using the open-source "radeon" drivers.

When I load up OpenLP, both the control interface and the presentation window are opened on the secondary monitor. The presentation window obscures the control interface, and has to be closed by pressing 'esc'.

This isn't a critical bug, but it is very frustrating -- particularly if I'm not around to help the poor person who's "doing the words" for the service! The ideal fix for this would be to nominate screens for presentation and control, rather than specifying offsets and dimensions for the presentation area; I understand, though, that given the cross-platform nature of OpenLP, this may be difficult!
