[Bug 682046] Re: OpenLP opens control interface behind presentation window on secondary monitor

Barry,

I'm running Ubuntu 10.10 on a couple of systems and haven't had that
issue... yet :) Just to be sure but do you have the default display
monitor set from Settings -> Configure OpenLP then from the general tab
there is a drop down to select which monitor is the output. I'm thinking
when I haven't set that up in the past I may have had the same issue but
been sometime so that may not be any help.

Bug description:
Note: I'm running Ubuntu 10.10, using the open-source "radeon" drivers.

When I load up OpenLP, both the control interface and the presentation window are opened on the secondary monitor. The presentation window obscures the control interface, and has to be closed by pressing 'esc'.

This isn't a critical bug, but it is very frustrating -- particularly if I'm not around to help the poor person who's "doing the words" for the service! The ideal fix for this would be to nominate screens for presentation and control, rather than specifying offsets and dimensions for the presentation area; I understand, though, that given the cross-platform nature of OpenLP, this may be difficult!
