How many Authors did you have in the list.
As you must always have one Author for a Song the UI does not allow you to remove the last Author.

Bug description:
  When I want to remove an author from a song using Song Editor, I have to first click the author for the "Remove" button to be enabled; the button doesn't become enabled if I use the keyboard to select an author.

Specs: PC, i3, 3GB RAM, Ubuntu 10.10, OpenLP 1.9.3, OpenOffice 3.2.1
