Hey John, I have seen the same thing of the background not showing
completely and where the alert is to be at the top, only the background
the size of the alert screen remained. I did not report that because I
thought it might be a aberration of the beta Nvidia driver I am using.

settings>Configure Openlp> Alert

When choosing option to where to place the alert on the display, that options is not past on. all other options like font, colors, timing ,etc are past on correctly.
