Well, I cannot reproduce this with my current song database.

I can reproduce this when I:
1) Create a song in a past revision (e. g. 1000) (since in trunk songs without authors are not allowed).
2) Run trunk.
3) Add the song to the Service and save the Service.
4) Restart -> Duplicate

When I run the re-index tool or delete my song database between 2) and
3) I cannot reproduce this.

So, running the re-index tool should fix this!

By the way, this is a duplicate as well: bug #690774 :-D

  Double song entry after reindexing songs db

Bug description:
  1. Make sure you have "Import missing songs when importing a service" ticked in song plugin settings.
2. Add a song to a service, save the service.
3. Tools → Reindex songs database.
4. Close OpenLP, open it again. Last service should be opened automatically.
5. See the double entry in songs db for the song you added to service.
