Ok I have reproduced this but included to mark as wont fix as it is not
a bug.

Image has ratio 1024 x 768

Screen has ration 1024 x 668   - this gives black boarder.

We do not stretch images but keep the ratio correct.  If the image and
display are different you get a blank line.

Simples !

Bug description:
  I imported two themes from v1 into v2 1191 and it puts black on each
  side of the thumbnail. I attached a picture.
