[Bug 719891] Re: phonon crash on windows

 

Typical. Google'd for 0xc0000005 phonon, and this bug report appears!
Google indexes launchpad somewhat quickly.

I suspect it might be pretty hard to solve this one. It could even be a
symptom of a hardware or driver problem.

I suggest, whilst we're still in development, that you always run OpenLP
with the "-l debug" option set if possible and if it doesn't affect
performance. That way we might get a better clue as to the events
leading up to the crash. Although I can also see this being difficult if
it crashes during the service, since the first thing you're going to do
is restart OpenLP and so overwrite the log! But it might prove useful
those times when you can grab the logfile.

  Windows 1274
  My tech was switching from a an image to song lyrics and openlp abruptly shutdown with the windows error below.
  I used it the whole service for our first service of church, never shut it down, and the second guy started using it for second service. There was no media in the service. Openlp was open for 3 hours 15 minutes.
