[Bug 722458] Re: Verse search in two different languages returns error.
Hey Thanks. I sort of knew that the problem had to do with the English
book names. I downloaded the RV1960 Spanish version from the link you
provided and now it works fine. The only problem is that I have to
search for the books in English instead of Spanish. This is fine for me
but the application in my church will also be used by people that only
speak Spanish and they will have problems searching for the books in
English. It would be good for the application to fully support all
versions of the Bible on whatever language. Just a thought..
Thanks again...

Title:
Verse search in two different languages returns error.
Status in OpenLP - Worship Presentation Software:
New
Bug description:
I have the 'Reina-Valera 1960' Bible version (in spanish) that I
downloaded from the OpenSong website
(http://www.opensong.org/d/downloads) and the ASV version (English)
which I think I downloaded from the same website. When performing a
verse search having RV60 as the primary version and ASV as the
secondary version I get the following error:
"No matching book could be found in this Bible. Check that you have
spelled the name of the book correctly." (Line 344)
The application is currently searching for the name of the book on
both Bible versions. But there will be a problem if any of the
versions is in a different language since the name of the book won't
the same. I think the best thing would be to perform the search on the
first Bible version, get the index of the book and then search the
second Bible version using the index instead of the actual book name.
I hope this helps and thanks again for the wonderful job done on this
application. God bless...
