Tim,
OS is Kubuntu 10.10 with Openlp using Phonon enabled. I tried using Phonon off and the mp4 video would not show a video yet played the sound track.  The video is high res set to use entire screen. Using VLC play it perfectly. Machine is Asus 64bit with Gforce 9500gs graphics card. The video is "Third Day follow me There", taken off youtube in mp4 format.

  When playing mp4 via Openlp, the video output is pixeled to some
  degree. It is not unusable but not the clean clear video that VlC
  shows of the same file.
