write to get this to work.

Bug description:
  Hello,

  when you use a theme with "transition" enabled, I'd expect the "blank
  to ..." to use the transition as well. But currently this is not the
  case, which looks odd when you "blank to..." as it happens suddenly
  but the slide changes are smooth.
