Review: Needs Information
There's an awful lot here that I'm getting a bit lost in what you've actually done. Bits to do with flash, some other bits VLC, etc. 
Not sure why there are references to Internet Explorer in there, OpenLP uses qtwebkit?
Will text over video still work, that's important, a lot of time was spent with that.

Please could you explain what you're planning?
