[Bug 776276] Re: Import of accented characters problems

 

When I downloaded the accented file it was in ANSI format, so not even
OpenSong was able to open it.

However once I changed the file encoding to UTF-8 to match the <?xml
version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> at the top of the file, OpenLP was able
to import it fine and OpenSong was able to open it.

(For Information, Windows notepad has an option in the Save As dialog to
select the Encoding to use)

Status in OpenLP - Worship Presentation Software:
  New

Bug description:
  While trying to import a new song in "OpenSong" format which contains an accented character in the title.  The song fails to import with the following error message:
  The following songs could not be imported:
  - /test/test.txt (XML syntax error)
  Replacing the accented character with a non-accented character and the file imported correctly
  (Sample files available if required)

  OpenLP version 1.9.5 build 1507
  Windows XP Pro, sp 3
