That's quite right.  My focus at the moment is on finding areas to
reduce development and maintenance effort.  Sometimes there will be an
end-user benefit; sometimes not.

I'll have a closer look at pylupdate.  Perhaps there are some
opportunities there to make it more flexible.  If it's true that one
must repeat the context string for every call, that's quite wasteful
(not to mention tedious!)  There must be a better way!
