Jeremy, can you confirm if this still a problem with the latest nightly
build please?

I've just tried it, and my baseline memory usage was 160MB, and I never
went above 210MB. I tried opening your attached presentation multiple
times, using both Impress and PowerPoint (although Office 2010 in my
case, but I don't think the PPT version should affect OpenLP's memory
usage)

  OpenLP uses 1.7 gig of ram then crashes

Bug description:
  On some PP presentations, previewing gets up to 900 Meg of ram usage,
  then going live it climbs to 1.7 Gig of ram usage and crashes.

  Win 7 64 bit
  dual core T4400
  3 gig ram
  office 2003 with service pack 3
