Sorry for the slow reply.

Ok, I've tried it out with build 1636 and here's what I've found: (I did
things in this order, see the attached screen shots that match up with
the numbers below)

1. No song loaded to live: no problem
2. A song with one section loaded to live: original problem as described above
3. A song with multiple sections loaded to live: ">>" indicator moves onto the 'stopwatch' icon (still in the way, but now of a different button)
4. A song with one section is re-loaded to live: ">>" indicator does not move back to the 'blank screen' button but stays on top of the 'Go To' button
5. OpenLP is closed and re-opened and a song with multiple sections is loaded first: original problem as described above
6. Without restarting OpenLP, a song with one section is loaded: original problem
7. Again, without restarting, a song with multiple sections is re-loaded: behaviour as #3

SO my quick conclusions are that when an item is loaded AFTER another
item that only had one section, the ">>" indicators move off of the
display icon, but not totally out of the way.

I hope that makes sense, I'm trying to rush this and get it out because
I don't have much time. I'll try to include as many screen shots as I
have time to upload, and then I'll have to add the rest later.

  Mac OS: Blank screen button options unavailable when item loaded to
  Live

Status in OpenLP - Worship Presentation Software:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  In the Mac OS X build, the options for the 3-in-1 blank screen button
  become unavailable under a 'more icons' indicator (looks like '>>').
  When the Timed Slides buttons appear in the Live toolbar, a '>>'
  appears on top of the Blank Screen button, like what would be expected
  if there wasn't enough room in the toolbar for all the icons.

  When no item is loaded in the Live panel, the blank screen button
  behaves normally and all three options are selectable via the down
  arrow. When any item is loaded into the Live panel however, the down
  arrow button stops working, and only the blank screen button itself
  works. The problem occurs even if the Timed Slides buttons aren't
  available.

  Using Mac OS X 10.6.7
  OpenLP Build 1588 (also observed in build 1421 and 1549) - nothing self-compiled
