[Bug 836340] Re: OpenLP requires coppyright information when it is not necessary
As Phill said, in the UK you only need to provide the initials, which
are normally entered as the Bible name, e.g. "NIV". So
copyright/permissions are not required.
Could it be made a warning, rather than an error?

Title:
OpenLP requires coppyright information when it is not necessary
Status in OpenLP - Worship Presentation Software:
Opinion
Bug description:
Tried to set up an online bible according to
http://www.biblestudytools.com/niv/ (which is the niv from crosswalk)
I do not need to provide a copy right notice (see below excerpt from
previous link), however OpenLP forces me to enter the copyright
information.
SecondallyI it would be nice if OpenLP provided a link in the bible
importer to the download source, to help locate additional
information.
The NIV® is a translation of Biblica.
When quotations from the NIV Family text are used in non-saleable media, such as church bulletins, orders of service, posters, transparencies or similar media, a complete copyright notice is not required, but the initials NIV, TNIV, or NIrV must appear at the end of each quotation.
