I've just tried, and the ESC shortcut can be deassigned in the Configure
Shortcuts dialog under Live Toolbar -> Escape Item

  pressing escape hides/closes the main display

Status in OpenLP - Worship Presentation Software:

Bug description:
  Windows 7 home 64-bit Openlp 1.9.6 Dual screen setup (Operators screen
  + main display window)

  If escape is pressed, the main display dissapears. While this works
  quite well in single screen mode, whith two screens, and with out
  escape mapped to show desktop, i would say that this is wrong!
