This is an extension and new functionality.
The before last week it was NOT possible to edit these songs as they were for the service only.
Now these songs can be edited but only for the service and will NOT be visible in the Songs media manager.

You tooke the correct action to fix it as the saving to the database is
but the " Add missing songs when opening service" option.

  Easily add service copy song to song database

Bug description:
  I noticed one of my song icons in my service looked different. Upon
  mouseover it said Edit: Service Copy Only and when I checked it was
  not in my database. The only way to get it in my database was to go
  into Config/Songs and check the box to Add missing songs when opening
  service and then reopen the service file.

  Is it possible to right click the song in the service side with the option to add it to the media song database if it is not there already?
