[Bug 818483] Re: windows build on linux
I really don't think this is something we need to worry about currently.
I don't see the project losing access to a Windows machine any time
soon, and should the time come then the goalposts might have moved
anyway.

Title:
windows build on linux
Status in OpenLP - Worship Presentation Software:
Won't Fix
Bug description:
It should be possible to create windows build on Linux with wine
(windows emulator).
One obstacle I see is the pptviewlib. It is now build only with visual studio. We could update the build process of pptviewlib to be able use also mingw (gcc for windows). We could try the following selfcontained python based build system for that:
http://code.google.com/p/waf/
(I used it already for a couple of projects.)
This would help us to automate nightly builds (like creating windows
builds automatically every night on linux server).
