Well for now, as you're on Linux, perhaps you could apply your patch to
your local version so you can import the songs?

Bug description:
  When I convert a xml file with songs from one "folder"/book, the value
  for the SongBook is not correct. It uses the BookReference value
  instead of the Folder value.

  This happened on a Crunchbang Linux distro, but I think it has nothing to do with the OS ;)
