I'm re-opening this.

It is a feature that people do request. I think making it an option, defaulting to what it does now, should be feasible. 
A number of people prefer the mouse to using keyboard shortcuts.

  RFE Separate blank buttons

Bug description:
  Separate the two or three choices of "blank to" on separate buttons to
  make it quickly accessible as it is in v1. I believe this will leave
  less room for error and be quicker to use a "blank to" during the
  service.
