@Tim: I'm not sure I understand what functionality it removes or why it would make the UX messy and broken. For single verses there is no difference, and I have used it quite a lot when editing multiple verses.

@Raoul: I absolutely see the point in keeping the development right now at a bug fix level. Until we start accepting new features again, I will use my local branch when adding songs.
