Hi Rob,
Please could you run OpenLP in debug mode for both these scenarios and then attach the debug log to this post.
Thanks.

Title:
Performance issues - opening and editing
Status in OpenLP - Worship Presentation Software:
New
Bug description:
Two, possibly related, performance issues.
First OpenLP is very slow to start - taking what feels like an age to start, taking between 90 and 120s from clicking on the icon and the user interface opening. The first time after a reboot is slightly longer than subsequent starts (say 5 seconds).
Second The "save" time after editing a song is about 10 seconds, with no indication that anything is happening - long enough for folks to assume they didn't press the save button and enter into "random click" mode.
Songs database has about 3000 songs.
PC is an AMD Phenom 6 core, with 12GB RAM, running windows 7 pro (64 bit), with Open Office version 3.4.1.
OpenLP version 1.9.12
