Message #20109
Re: [Bug 1160702] Re: worship service won't display on screen 2
Thank you for getting back to me so quickly Phil, and and for your help.
I will redirect my request as you suggested, and have a closer look at
whether PowerPoint works on its own. What's puzzling is that everything
(OpenLP and PowerPoint) had been working perfectly up to three weeks
ago, and we've changed nothing on our laptop. It just stopped working.
Thanks, and God bless... Randal

Hi Randal,
This is really the wrong place to post this. It will more likely get
noticed and acted upon if you email this message to support@xxxxxxxxxx,
or post it on to the "Troubleshooting forum"
I don't believe we have come across this before, so unfortunately we do
not know the cause of your issue. Can you send a debug log to the above
email address. You can find out how to do that here:

where-do-i-find-this
Does this still happen if you open your presentation and use it outside
of OpenLP?
I.E whilst OpenLP is running you start Powerpoint from the start menu,
open the presentation in Powerpoint and press "F5" to start the
presentation.
Finally a work around maybe to use the "Override Display Position"
option from the configure OpenLP dialogue. You will need to set the
width and height to the resolution of your projector. You will need to
play around with the x and y values until you get it positioned
properly.
God Bless,
Phill

Title:
worship service won't display on screen 2
Status in OpenLP - Worship Presentation Software:
New
Bug description:
Hi... OpenLP had worked well for a number of month. We send the
worship AV to screen 2 so it shows on our projectors.
Three Sundays ago it abruptly stopped sending a signal to screen 2. At
first this happened when we ran a PowerPoint item and then moved to
the next item in the Service Manager. It simply stopped displaying on
screen 2.
The only way we found to correct this was to go to the General tab in
Configure OpenLP, and click "Screen 1" under Monitors, then click
"Screen 2" again, and then click "OK". Somehow this seemed to reset
the software and Screen 2 started to display again.
More recently, Screen 2 doesn't work whenever we start OpenLP. We have
to follow the same process as above every time. And, of course, if we
ever run a PowerPoint item this makes Screen 2 stop working again.
I've read everything I could find in the Forum and nothing seems to
work. We even uninstalled OpenLP and completely re-installed it. This
didn't help either.
Please tell us what to do. We need reliable software for our worship
services, so this is getting very frustrating.
We are using OpenLP v2.0.1 and Microsoft Office 2007.
Thanks very much... Randal Phillips, Trinity Presbyterian Church
