This does not work, and I do not know why. I did everything as shown here: http://qt-project.org/doc/note_revisions/5/8/view

When you start the branch the version check is not done in a thread (you see that OpenLP starts 20s later). Also you can print the current thread (e. g. print(q_object.thread())....
