Since the click occurs with different player, my guess would be that it
is a driver problem. Have you tried updating the audio drivers on your
computer? Does the click occurs when you play audio directly in VLC?

  Linked Audio starts with a click

  New

Bug description:
  I am running OpenLP 20.3 on a Windows 7.0 Enterprise operating system.

  When I link an MP3 file to a song and press the play button there is a
  loud click before the song starts playing.

  If I use the MP3 as a Media file the click does not occur.
