[Bug 1400579] Re: OpenLP is detected as Malware:Gen by Avast Antivirus

 

Thanks for reporting this. I've set this bug as invalid as its not an
issue with OpenLP or the software we use to build the exe. Its an issue
with the anti virus programs reporting false positives.

Title:
  OpenLP is detected as Malware:Gen by Avast Antivirus

Status in OpenLP - Worship Presentation Software:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Using WIN7 Home Premium SP1, OpenLP 2.1.1, when installing or
  launching the program, Avast Antivirus Pro detects OpenLP.exe as
  Malware:Gen and immediately quarantines the executable. This forced me
  to disable Avast for 10 minutes so I could install OpenLP 2.1.1.
  After the 10 minutes expired and Avast "raised all shields", I
  launched the OpenLP program and Avast immediately quarantined the
  executable again forcing me to disable Avast and reinstall the entire
  package to permit me to resume testing the software. I have reached an
  impasse, I have to either keep Avast and uninstall OpenLP or the
  other...

  No log or traceback available.

  MS Office 2010 installed.
