  Thumbnail of images isn't shown in stage view and remote control

Bug description:
  Confirmed in beta2 on windows.

  When presenting images the thumbnail is not shown in the stage view or
  in the remote control. Instead a placeholder (broken image/link icon)
  is shown. It seems only to affect the image-plugin.

  It might be linked to how bug #1367141 was fixed...
