[Bug 1421804] Re: Remote password protection doesn't work with https off
For one I misunderstood how the authentication worked. I assumed that on
trying to connect to the remote I would get a dialog asking for my user
id and password but i found it only asks for that when you try to do
something that would change something in OpenLP.
Also I tried using the user authentication with https turned on and it
worked as designed but with https off it didn't.
I'll update the description accordingly.
** Description changed:
Steps to reproduce:
- Enable user authentication in the remote settings with https disabled.
- Open the remote in a web browser.
- - No password prompt is displayed and the remote is shown.
+ - Try to blank the display
Expected behavior:
- - Opening the remote with user authentication turned on should prompt for authentication.
+ - Opening the remote with user authentication turned on and trying to blank the display/change something should prompt for authentication.
Tested with trunk (rev 2497)
