This is not an error. This behaviour were implemented in V2.0.4 (see
https://bugs.launchpad.net/openlp/+bug/1223841).

There was a discussion on the forum about this behaviour:
http://forums.openlp.org/discussion/2383/feature-request-optional-transition-on-same-text

Maybe the correct way is to set an option if transition should be used
between identical slides or not.

  Transitions happens in the same slide

Status in OpenLP - Worship Presentation Software:
  New

Bug description:
  When I click in the same slide, in live, the transition happens.
  The same happens when I am in first slide and I type 'up arrow', and when I am in last slide and I type 'down arrow'.

  I tested in a Ubuntu Studio 14.04.
  Version of OpenLP: 2.1.5.
