Downloading the VLC player and restarting 2.2 fixed the issue. I can now play my mp4 videos

  2.2 does not support mp4

Bug description:
  I upgraded to 2.2 and when I tried to add my mp4 video to the program
  I got a pop-up saying file not supported. The previous version
  supported these types of videos.

  I am using Mac OS X Version 10.9.5

  I don't remember how to generate a debug log.
