Does songbeamer always use latin1, or can or use other encodings? If it
only uses latin1 the chardet detection isn't needed...

  Importing Songbeamer songs using latin1 encoding doesn't get decoded
  correctly

Status in OpenLP:
  New

Bug description:
  When exporting Songbeamer songs from Windows and then importing them on Linux,
  the encoding of the songs is latin1. During the import OpenLP seems to assume they are UTF-8. 
  This works for "normal" characters but breaks for german "Umlaute"
