Title:
Lock panels and hide projector manager by default
Status in OpenLP:
Fix Committed
Bug description:
Unlocked panels by default seem to be causing some confusion:
http://forums.openlp.org/discussion/2759/service-manager-will-not-show-on-screen#latest
http://forums.openlp.org/discussion/2666/media-manager-service-manager-and-theme-manager-have-disappeared-from-the-main-screen#latest
Maybe we should enable “Lock panels” by default to prevent users
from accidentally closing/moving the panels?
Re-arranging the panels for somebody who’s not familiar
with computers might be surprisingly hard.
This has also happened to myself several times on miss
click, it’s pretty easy to mess up the unlocked panels.
Users could still re-size panels while they are locked but it just prevents them
from hiding/re-arranging them.
Another thing regarding the panels is the default visibility of the
projector controller panel.
I feel like this is something the majority of users don’t need
and thus should be hidden by default.
Or if we really want to show it, maybe we could ask on 1st time wizard if user
plans to use wireless projectors and define panel visibility based on that.
