As I've understood it, projector stuff would be hard to create as an
plugin.

In 2.5.1 the projector stuff will be disabled by default and the First Time 
Wizard will ask if user wants to enable/disable it. 

Additionally the projector stuff can be enabled/disabled from the "View"
menu.

Ideally it would also be listed as a plugin.

Bug description:
  Shouldn't the projector stuff be a plugin so it can be
  enabled/disabled? I'm pretty sure a lot of churches don't have a
  compatible projector so they can't use it.
