Hello all,

We are starting to work on the environment plane rewrite. This new
environment plane will bring more flexibility and more efficiency; you
can read the full specification document on [1].

The design document is available on [2]. This is not the final version,
some details will be updated very soon. The main design characteristics
should not change, however.

Feedback on the design document would be appreciated.
