Re: Problems with the new version 3.0.0+bzr386

Hi François and Jonas

We tried to install the 3.0.0 version from stable repository but it only installed 2.0.0 version. So we have installed the 3.0.0+bzr386 version on our platform with the default configurations.
Did you try to install the opensand and opensand-manager meta-packages while the version 2.0.0 was already installed ? If this is the case, only the meta-packages were updated and not the entire platform. To update the version with meta-package you need to uninstall the previous version first.

Nevertheless we encounter some problems:
First the satellite and the terminal can't communicate with the collector(blue icon). We tried to restart all the daemon and the collector but it doesn't solve the problem.
Can you reconfigure you collector (dpkg-reconfigure opensand-collector) and correctly set the interface name for service publishing if this is not already done ? (this should not change anything but there was a bug in previous versions that may be still there in some cases).

Can you ping collector from satellite and terminal ?
Can you send me the opensand-collector and opensand-daemon logs on the appropriate machines ?

Then when we enable the physical layer we can't ping gateway from terminal any more: we have the following warning message: "[ForwardSchedulingS2.cpp:getIncompleteBBFrame():623] cannot serve terminal 1 with any modcod (desired 22) on carrier 0"
Do you know how to fix this?
With physical layer, the MODCOD is chosen according to emulated link budget then, either you need to increase your nominal conditions between GW and ST1 to get a higher C/N0, or you need to allow others MODCOD for the terminal (in advanced configuration, global>down_forward_band>fmt_groups add MODCODs separated by ; or range of MODCODs separated by -. To enable all MODCODS on forward link simply add 1-28 instead of 28).

Thanks in advance for your help,
You're welcome.

Regards,
