I found this happened when I recorded OGV using RecordMyDesktop.
I just tried again with MKV visuals and MP3 audio, but it didn't fall out of
sync this time.

I'll keep on trying different formats.  In the past I have found OGV to be
problematic, which is why I tend to record my desktop with an ffmpeg script
rather than Recordmydesktop.

  When I playback the video in the timeline the first time, the audio is
  in sync, but if I jump back to the beginning of the timeline, the
  audio continues to play from where it left off.  It seems that
