Yes, there were/are some well known seeking problems using ogv in
ffmpeg, and RecordMyDesktop creates OGV files that are especially
problematic.

Title:
  Audio playback in timeline falls out of sync

Bug description:
  1) Ubuntu 11.04 (Natty Narwhal)
  2) Installation via PPA
  3) OpenShot 1.3.1

  When I playback the video in the timeline the first time, the audio is
  in sync, but if I jump back to the beginning of the timeline, the
  audio continues to play from where it left off.  It seems that
  OpenShot fails to match up the audio once the initial video playback
  has been altered.
