Thanks Joop. I can't see a problem with the Levels effect, at least, it is working the same way as it does in Kdenlive - they've had this effect for some time, so you would think they've got the implementation right by now :-)
So expect this one to land in trunk soon...

For the Frei0r mailing list, did you try

That looks active. For Frei0r 1.2 effects, we will need to add some
extra code to verify what is installed on a users machine. This
shouldn't be too difficult, but we'll hold off adding any of the 1.2
effects until that 's done.
