That would suggest your install of MLT is not working. What version have
you got installed? Can you play any files with the 'melt' command line
player? In the terminal, type:

melt filename

  Openshot starts but doesn't show up

Bug description:
  When i try to run openshot it only outputs this in console:

  Failed to import 'from openshot import main'
  Error Message: cannot import name main
  ----------------------------------------------------------------
  --------------------------------
     OpenShot (version 1.4.0)
  --------------------------------
  Process no longer exists: 8779.  Creating new pid lock file.
  Failed to import VimeoClient.  Removed Vimeo from upload screen, to allow OpenShot to continue working.

  Detecting formats, codecs, and filters...
  adrian@localhost ~ $

  it just exits after a moment.

  OS: Gentoo
  Installation: from tar.gz package
  openshot version: 1.4.0
