At first look , it is missing something at your  system.
Have you install the package openshot-doc too ? 
Another track : Have you ghelp installed ?
Another thing : You should update your version at the last one : this one is now the 1.4.0. For that, you should add our PPA and check too all the dependencies for this version (http://openshotusers.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=1060).
